XPAC Underground Design

XPAC Underground Design has been developed specifically to make underground coal operations more effective and cost-efficient.

It is an easy-to-use tool for reserves analysis and generation, mine design and scheduling.

It accepts data from all major geological seam modeling software. Using this application, underground scheduling is a straightforward three-step progression:
1. generate a plan
2. translate that design in a single mouse click into a detailed database
3. use that information to develop the best schedule for your needs.

XPAC Underground Design has been designed with a strong business focus - resulting in modeling of scenarios for business analysis. Detailed scenario costing is easy with XPAC, and the module has graphics and reporting tools to help you communicate your scenarios to operations and management personnel. Checking your schedule is also effortless with XPAC graphically highlighting any problems.

An easy-to-learn AutoCAD-compatible graphics environment and utensils, for underground panels and roadway, allow rapid development of mine designs or design changes. You can automatically generate reserves, with production and cost drivers linked into the design. This means faster turn-around of scenarios, leaving you more time to explore “what if” scenarios leading to economic benefits.

XPAC stores geological grid files as well as physical / quality parameters, allowing reserves (including quality) to be calculated automatically as the mine design is created. Geologists are not needed to create reserves for each design change and the manual transfer of reserves data is eliminated.

The logic that XPAC is based upon has been generated to reflect your mine operations. It is systematic, auditable and accurate. A consistent approach is applied across groups - providing greater forecasting detail with less risk of re-work.

XPAC can calculate the effect of multiple production and cost drivers. Detailed schedule reports can be linked to a cash flow model, giving you a thorough understanding of the impact your schedule will have on the economics of the operation.

XPAC Underground Design offers you:
- easy communication of plans
- a uniquely integrated design and scheduling tool
- easily captured and modeled operational detail
- detailed information for financial modeling
- a platform for consistency of approach
- high quality results, quickly
- efficient use of available resourcing to get the job done
